Characterization of our vineyards

Portal Andino estates cover a total of 588 hectares located in the Department of General Alvear, Mendoza. At present 180 hectares are in production, divided between the white variety Chardonnay and the red varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, Bonarda and Sangiovesse. From the total cultivated area, seven hectares are for varieties under study, cultivated on a trial basis.

One of the great strengths of Portal Andino is that all the grapevines are 100% varietals.
Also our estates meet the ISO 9001:2008 quality standards right from the vineyards.

Most of the planted area has a drip irrigation system that allows the right amount of water to be provided to each plant, depending on its needs and the work plan defined for each estate and plot. The rest of the vineyards are irrigated by the traditional flooding method where each lot receives water from the Atuel River.
